  • Do I need to own a General Motors vehicle to join GM Motor Club?
    A. No, you do not need to own a General Motors vehicle to join GM Motor Club. GM Motor Club covers its member(s), not the vehicle. You, along with your spouse and eligible dependents, will be covered in any passenger vehicle you drive. This means any manufacturer, make or model, domestic or foreign. You are even covered when driving a friend's vehicle or rental car.
  • Does GM Motor Club have mileage limits for towing?
    A. No, there are no mileage limits for towing. There are no dollar limits for towing. GM Motor Club will tow you to the nearest qualified repair facility, no matter how far.

    For most other motor clubs, towing benefits come with strings attached. Some clubs limit their members to as few as 3 miles of towing and then charge as much as $3 per mile for excess miles.     A. Yes. We have over 30,000 service providers within our network that will be dispatched quickly when you call our toll-free number. On the rare occasion that we are unable to provide assistance, GM Motor Club will reimburse you up to $100 per incident for emergency roadside service and towing you arrange for yourself.
  • I'm waiting for my current motor club membership to expire. Can I join GM Motor Club now and start my membership later?
    A.Sure. Just indicate a future start date in the space provided on the enrollment form.
  • My new vehicle warranty provides roadside assistance. Why do I need GM Motor Club?
    A.GM Motor Club provides membership benefits to you in ANY passenger vehicle you are driving. Your manufacturer's warranty coverage is limited to your new vehicle and does not provide the benefits you might need when driving a rented or borrowed vehicle. And don't forget your spouse and eligible dependents who might also be driving other vehicles. GM Motor Club provides membership benefits for them too. Your membership also entitles you to trip routing and map services as well as discounts on hotels, rental cars, travel, and much more.
  • Are my children eligible for coverage?
    A.Yes. Your membership includes coverage for your spouse and children. Eligible children are legally licensed drivers under the age of 21 who are living in your household or away at school.
  • Are there any limitations on service claims per year?
    A.Yes. To maintain a high standard of service with fair and reasonable dues for all members there is a limit to four (4) claims per membership year. These services include jump start, flat tire change, fuel delivery, winching (removing a stuck vehicle), towing, lockout, lost key service, and claim reimbursement.
